Christ Candle - December 24
Four Sundays ago we lit the Hope candle and remembered the expectation of the fulfillment of God’s promises.
Three Sundays ago we lit the Peace candle, a symbol of total well-being, prosperity, and security associated with God’s presence among his people.
Two Sundays ago we lit the Joy candle, reminding us that Joy is a positive human condition that can be expressed as a feeling.

Last Sunday we lit the Love candle, and were reminded of God’s gift of love.
Tonight the Advent season ends. We wait no longer. That great event for which we have waited has happened. God’s promise of a Redeemer is fulfilled, Christ Jesus is born. We light the Christ candle with praise to our God who brings joy to the world.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
